Embedded Expansion Joint to UK Highway Standard CAD 357
The Uniflex Expansion joint system is applied with a butyl rubber membrane bonded to the substrate with Uniflex Epoxy Adhesive to provide an efficient and permanent expansion joint that is easy to install. The system can be applied in a variety of locations, from an asphalt-covered roof to membrane bridge decks, and can also be used with two-layer mastic asphalt or coating systems.
Uniflex membrane is prepared from a specially developed butyl rubber compound that is tough, weather resistant, flexible and able to withstand up to 300% elongation. Uniflex epoxy adhesive is specifically designed to bond Uniflex to concrete, asphalt and other surfaces to make the system effective. Uniflex membrane is normally supplied in 20 meter rolls in any required width up to 1300mm, adhesive, closed cell foam and steel plates if required are part of the different systems we can supply.
The Uniflex system is completely resistant to chemicals, water and water vapor. In embedded joints, the membrane is completely protected by the wear surface. The Uniflex membrane does not slip or crack, and the combination of a simple design and proven components makes the system inherently long-lasting and suitable for the requirements of modern building and civil engineering applications.
