Expansion joint conforming to the Highways Technical Specification and UK Highway Standard CD 357
A modular, surface-mounted mechanical expansion joint system with an elastomeric seal between two metal carrier rails conforming to the Highways Technical Specification and UK Highway Standard CD 357. The system in which a fast-curing resin compound, known as Britflex® Resin Mortar, forms the joint filler; Polyurea resin provides unrivaled anchorage to the bridge superstructure due to its exceptional bonding qualities, meaning no mechanical anchoring is required.
'BEIGE' expansion joints contain load-bearing cellular elastomeric seals that allow a range of movement of up to 150 mm.
The Britflex® BEIGE Expansion Joint system has worldwide approvals for use on bridge decks of all road and highway classes. Britflex® Resin Mortar is also an approved material for all types of expansion joint sealants.
This system is ideal for maintenance and repair projects where broken or damaged expansion joints need to be replaced. The biggest benefit this system will bring to any project is the speed with which it can be assembled on-site, allowing phased operation outside of peak traffic hours.
